Kalady: A giant python entered a hen’s cage and swallowed 13 birds at Madappuram Sahadevan’s house in Kalady.
Former panchayat member Omana found the python at the hen’s cage in the morning. Of the 22 birds, only 9 were left in the cage.
The python strayed on the premises of the house as it was adjacent to the forest range and the river. Forest officials reached the spot and took the python into the forest.
