Python in toilet; family panics
Malur (Kannur): A python that fell into the water closet of a toilet inside a house in Erattengal has created panic among the family and the locals. The woman of the house was the first to notice the snake in the work area near the kitchen in the morning. From there, the snake crawled into the toilet and then into the water closet.
The family was unable to to get rid of the snake and sought help of Shiju, a member of the Forest Rescue team. Shiju managed to take the snake out of the closet after a five-hour-long effort. The snake had crawled into the drainpipe of the toilet and was freed by pumping water through the manhole.
The snake was later set free in the Kannavam forest. Within a month, the forest department had nabbed nine pythons from nearby panchayaths and released them in the Kannavam forest area.
