Anchal (Kollam): A Plus One student here is grabbing eyeballs by making lifelike models of KSRTC and tourist buses that rival the originals.
Anchal native Balu is the little artist who makes the replicas of buses. He has created figures of different vehicles.
Parents noticed Balu's artistic skills when he was in class 6. He started concentrating on this field after making floats for the festival at Vadamon temple. Later, he started making miniature figures of buses and other vehicles.
Cardboards that come with ready made clothes, aluminium wires, foamboard, pieces of multi-wood and battery are the major items required for making the vehicles. After they are painted like the original, the miniature buses are ready for display.
Endless support from family motivates Balu to continue with his artworks. His teachers and other people keep visiting his house to see his crafts.
Balu is a Plus One student at Ayoor Jawahar Higher Secondary School.
