Pictures of Oommen Chandy adorn walls of this house in Kottayam
Kottayam: During the first election campaign of Oommen Chandy, Velloor native Raju was only 10 years old. Since then he has been keeping pictures of Oommen Chandy on the dull walls of his 'Kariyil' house. Raju is a former member of Pampady panchayat and block panchayat.
Even this time, Raju did not stop pasting the pictures of Oommen Chandy and election symbols on the walls of his house. As Oommen Chandy completes 50 years as an MLA, the pictures and advertisements of celebrations of the veteran leader can be seen on the walls of the old building owned by Raju.
There are pictures drawn during the previous election season also. Raju’s house is situated in Gramattam junction in Velloor in Pampady. “I keep doing this even now because of the good deeds he has done for our place,” Raju said.
