Palakkad man makes lift all by himself in 2 days at Rs 13,000
Edathanattukara (Palakkad): A wood worker designed and manufactured a lift all by himself during the lockdown. Edathanattukara Chirattakkulam native Rajan made the lift in order to reduce effort during his job.
It was hard to carry pieces of wood from the workshop to the top floor. So, Rajan decided to make a lift to carry the wood easily. As the lockdown affected his usual works, he could spend more time for the making of the lift.
Rajan used lift gear, HP motor, left and right switches, angler and metal rod and made the lift within two days. The lift can be operated using electricity. It is capable of carrying upto one ton weight. About Rs 13,000 was spent for making the lift, Rajan said.
