O Rajagopal turns 90; Celebrates birthday with inmates of charity home
Thiruvananthapuram: ‘I am happy that I turned 90 because I have few more years to go. It’s up to god to decide the days’, said O Rajagopal, BJP leader while celebrating his 90th birthday with the inmates of Vanchi Poor Fund in Thiruvananthapuram.
Rajagopal who reached the Poor Fund on Sunday afternoon spent time with the inmates of the house and had sadya with them.
‘The responsibility of a social worker is to help people to meet their needs. And I will continue to do that’, said the leader. The birthday celebration was arranged by BJP district committee avoiding luxuries.
Birthday celebrations began by planting saplings at Vellayani after having breakfast at the house of M R Gopan, opposition leader of the Thiruvananthapuram corporation. He came to the Poor Fund to have sadya after participating in a marriage. M S Kumar, secretary and BJP state spokesperson and other party activists served sadya to Rajagopal.
Rajagopal who was born on Thiruvonam star in the Malayalam month of Chingam turned 90 on Sunday. A grand event has been organised as part of his birthday on September 28 at Udaya studio in Kowadiar and national leaders of BJP will participate in the event.
