Mobile veterinary clinic started in Kanhangad
Kanhangad: Kanhangad block panchayat have started a mobile veterinary clinic to avoid kilometres of travel to treat ill pets.
The free service should not be misused, said block panchayat president K Manikandan. He also added that it is the first of its kind in the district and the medicines for pets will also be given free.
The beneficiaries are from Ajanur, Uduma, Pallikkara, Pullur-Periya and Madikkai gram panchayats in the block panchayat limits. The dairy farmers said it was a great relief for them. The goats, cows, chickens, dogs and cats have to travel miles to reach the vet clinic. Also, they have to stand in long queue for consultation.
Uduma MLA CH Kunjambu inaugurated the project. President K Manikandan presided over the function.
