Meet this TVM girl, who owns national record with mirror-writing skills
Varakala (Thiruvananthapuram): A student hailing from Varkala here has obtained a national record for fastest mirror-writing skills. Devi Nandana (16), daughter of Varkala native Ramesh Chandrababu and Ambili Krishna, has been included in the India Book of Records with her skill.
Devi Nandana owned the record by writing 165 letters of the National Pledge in English in one minute. She started practicing mirror-writing after her teacher told about it when she was in Class 6. Then she continued practicing in Malayalam, English and Hindi languages. The free time during lockdown also helped her practice more.
The video of the performance was sent to the India Book of Records authorities. They found out that Devi Nandana wrote 25 more letters than the current record which is 140 letters in one minute. Following this, they gave her a certificate for the new record.
Devi Nandana is a Plus One student in Edava Jawahar Public School. She is a recipient of many prizes in music, drawing and handwriting competitions. She also scored 98 percent marks in CBSE Class 10 examination proving her academic brilliance.
