Maniyur getting ready for dramatic adaptation of 'Khasakkinte Ithihasam'
Vadakara: Maniyoor is getting ready to present the drama adaptation of OV Vijayan’s famous novel 'Khasakkinte Ithihasam.' The work for creating the village of Khasak, with dimensions of 80 ft length and 40 ft width, have started at the specially-made auditorium at the Maniyoor High School ground.
The organization committee said the drama will be presented on September 23, 24 and 25. DYFI Palayad village committee is organizing the drama for raising the funds for the construction of the CK Devi Memorial.
The drama is directed by Deepan Sivaraman under the banner of Thrikkaripur KMK Kala Samiti. The drama has already received much attention. Its running time is 3 hours.
The presentation at Maniyoor is the second one in the district. The drama will start at 6.30 pm everyday.
The admission passes will be available at the counter from 4 pm. The auditorium has the capacity to accommodate 900 people a day. Drinking water and snacks will be availabe at the venue. After the drama, bus facilties will be provided to Payyoli and Vadakara regions. Parking facilities have been provided near the ground.
As part of the promotion for the drama, the organizers have conducted artists collective, discusssions about the novel, flash mobs, LCD projection and Bike rally.
TC Rameshan, KV Sathyan, Shreeprasad, TP Vijesh and E Ravikrishnan participated in the press conference.
