Man breaks into survey office, returns leaving a note of advice for staff
Thrissur: In a bizarre incident, a man who broke into the office of Survey Range Assistant Director here returned without stealing any valuables, but left a note of advice for the staff.
“I’m not a thief. You should do your work sincerely. Those who keep the workplace clean are good hearted ones,” the man wrote in his note of advice. The strange event took place on Wednesday night.
The man who is not a ‘thief’ seems to have broken the padlock of the office of Survey Range Assistant Director in Shoranur Road and left after placing the note of advice there.
None of the valuables including money or computers were not lost. Documents also were not taken. However, Thrissur East SI Jayakumar said that this can be confirmed only after further probe is conducted.
The locks were found to have broken by one of the staff who opened the office on Thursday morning. All shelves were opened and searched. The keys of all shelves were arranged on a cloth spread on the floor. The note of advice was kept beside this.
Following the incident, fingerprint experts arrived for examining the spot. Thrissur East Police will register a case on Friday. Survey Range Assistant Director E. K. Sudheer said that a complaint has been lodged with Thrissur ACP and district collector and the incident was reported at Survey Land Records.
