Little sisters hatch eggs using homemade incubator
Kannur: Sivananda and Vedika, two sisters from Maloor hatched eggs on an incubator made at home. They wanted to make the incubator to hatch eggs following inspiration from a YouTube video.
The children are studying at New UP School in Panambatta. Their father Sudheesh took effort to make the incubator at home.
Before making the incubator, he consulted his acquaintances Rahul Kolari and Tomichan at Nirmalagiri to get an idea on hatching eggs using an incubator. He also attended a class of Dr PN Shabu at Maloor veterinary hospital.
A 60 watt bulb, thermostat, LED bulb and fan of 12 volt were used to make the incubator.
After successfully making the incubator, 39 eggs were placed inside it. Out of them, 26 hatched. “The eggs hatched within 21 days,” said Sivananda and Vedika.
