Little girl smiles at quarantined father through window, this pic will make your day
Haripad (Alappuzha): When all are experiencing difficulties of the nation-wide lockdown to prevent coronavirus from spreading, the separation of family members could be most painful. Though for a good reason, some of them have been sharing the emotional trauma of not being with family in this tough phase. One of the pictures that went viral on social media recently, was the photo of a little girl smiling from outside the window at her father quarantined inside the room.
It was Haripad Vellamkulangara native Jayadevan who captured the photo of his 6-year-old daughter Devananda. Jayadevan is seen not in the picture as he was behind the camera. He arrived from Qatar on March 19. His relatives went to Nedumbassery airport in two cars. While returning, the relatives travelled in one car and Jayadevan drove another all by himself.
The family had already arranged a room with windows on both sides for him. Jayadevan's daughter was shifted to his wife Sreelakshmi's house. After informing the health workers, he started staying in the room alone.
But after a few days, Devananda started missing her father and made a fuss about it. Thus her mother Sreelakshmi brought her to the house on the condition that she should not go near her father's room. However, the little girl started weeping and was made to stand far from the window to catch a glimpse of her dad. When she smiled at him, Jayadevan clicked a picture and sent it to one of his friends who later shared it on social media.
Jayadevan had come home for a 15 days' vacation before six weeks. Then he returned to Qatar. As he got job in another company, he returned to make some changes in the visa. But now he is uncertain about when he would be able to go back.
When asked about the health workers, Jayadevan was all excited. "As they keep clearing even the slightest doubts, I feel really confident. So, that helps me survive every single day in quarantine," said Jayadevan.
