Little Emmanuel meets his father, to leave shelter home soon
Thodupuzha: It was after a long wait that Sanju finally got to see his son Emmanuel who was lodged in a shelter house in Thodupuzha.
Sanju got custody of his child with the help of Child Welfare Committee which helped him secure a favourable order from the High Court. It took one-and-half years for the father to get a glance of his baby, who was sent to the shelter home by his mother's relatives.
Emmanuel is son of Sanju, a native of Upputhara, and Rajakkad native Sonia. Sonia’s relatives allegedly forced her to part ways with her husband and was reportedly sent to Canada by her parents for higher studies.
Sanju said he was not even informed about the birth of his son. Meanwhile, later when he came to know that Emmanuel was staying at an orphanage in Rajakkad, he tried to see the baby. However, since he could not meet Emmanuel there, he decided to move the court.
Sanju was later informed that Emmanuel is at Thodupuzha shelter home. The Child Welfare Committee then intervened in the matter and helped him to secure a High Court order in favour of him.
The baby will be taken to Sanju’s house in Upputhara within two days.
