Kerala youth obtains Asian records by carving on pencil names of health ministers of all states
Ottapalam (Palakkad): An architecture student has found a place in the Asian Book of Records by carving on pencil lead the names of health ministers of all 28 states in India.
Abhijith Raj, a third year student at Nehru College of Architecture in Lakkidi, is the talented boy who carved the name of 28 health ministers on 28 pencil leads. Also he carved the names in the native language of the respective states.
Abhijith started pencil carving during the lockdown period. First, he started carving train, rose, joker, MS Dhoni and the likes on the pencil lead. Later, he thought of obtaining a record on this art and decided to carve the names of health ministers. After completing the art, he applied for the record.
Abhijith received an email on October 19 informing that he has been included in the India Book of Records. He received another email on October 21 stating that he was also included in Asian Book of Records.
The 21-year-old said that he decided to carve names of health ministers as an honour for their battle against COVID. He is son of Kadammanitta native late T K Raju and K K Suma. His mother Suma is a health worker at ESI hospital in Pathanamthitta.
