Kasaragod girl creating wonders with mural paintings
Udinur: Lakshmi Keerthana had learned mural painting three years back. She put the Covid pandemic and lockdown days to polish her skills and created breathtakingly beautiful paintings.
Her works are expressed on clothes and canvases but with no compromise on quality and detailing of the art.
She learned mural painting under Bindhu P Nair of Kannur for six months. Later she trained under KK Warrier in Guruvayur. Her recent paintings include Pradoshanritham, Dashavatharam completed during lockdown, Ardhanareeswaran, Ganapati and Sreekrishnan.
She also paints on sarees according to demand. Some of her pintings were offered to temples.
Keerthana, working at a construction company in Kannur after completing MBA, uses her paintings for interior designing.
Her parents, veteran soldier V V Anilkumar of Udinur Central and Kannur Chirakkal native Sindhu Lakshmi, fully support her artwork.
