Kannur boy cries in not meeting Rahul Gandhi; gets call from his favourite leader
Kannur: The 7-year-old boy Nadhan from Kannur was disappointed as he failed to meet Rahul Gandhi. Little Nadhan cried out in grief as he failed to meet Rahul and his pics went viral on social media. But surprising him, Rahul phoned him on Thursday.
Rahul Gandhi was eager to talk with his little fan from Taliparamba when he came to know about him through his party men. Nadhan was super excited when his favourite leader directly conversed with him over phone.
Rahul Gandhi is the favourite leader of Nadhan, a second class student here. Little Nadhan wished to meet Rahul when the leader arrived in Kozhikode for a public meeting. Though he asked his parents to take him to Rahul’s function, they failed to fulfil his dream. Amidst this, Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kannur was declared. Nadhan’s parents promised him they will take him to Rahul Gandhi’s public event.
But unfortunately, they were not allowed to enter the venue due to security issues. Feeling depressed, Nadhan cried out while leaving the venue.
His father Santhosh posted a photograph of the crying little boy on social media. He also attached a detailed description about Nadhan’s grief with the photo. Within minutes, this post went viral and Congress leadership also noticed Nadhan.
Congress leader Ananthu Suresh informed Rahul Gandhi about the little boy. Following this, Nadhan got a call from Rahul Gandhi.
After receiving the call from Rahul Gandhi, Nadhan’s father Suresh made an emotional post hailing the personality of Rahul Gandhi.
“Even 7 year old boy became his fan due to his values. I got a phone call at 10.59 am. ‘It’s me Rahul, can I talk to your son,’ he asked me politely. I was amazed. My heartfelt gratitude to all for all your prayers. A big thanks to the strange friend Ananthu Suresh who supported us,” wrote Suresh on Facebook.
