Journey of a nature-loving photographer; Jayesh captures the unseen beauties
Kalpetta: There are many pictures which hold us close to nature. The beautiful sceneries including birds, fish, animals, microbes which normally escape from the photographer’s clicks can be watched in the pictures taken by Jayesh Padichal. A passionate photographer, Jayesh has exhibited thirty photographs in Wayanad seed festival.
The exhibition titled as ‘Pallam’ has also been staged in many venues earlier. Kannur Vangad native Jayesh has been a photographer for the past 14 years. He is of the opinion that observation is the key to the art of photography. He was attracted to this profession due to the love for nature.
Jayesh is on an attempt to find new aspects of wildlife and natural photography. The documentary ‘Pallam’ prepared for the exhibition also captured attention of the public. ‘Pallam’ is the name for natural ponds in the laterite hills in Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
The documentary brings to light the habitat and biodiversity in these areas during different seasons. It took four years to complete the shooting of documentary. Birds like little grebe and black naped monarch also appear in the documentary. The visuals of their life since laying egg to its hatching are captured in it.
Jayesh believes that he can draw people into nature and create an awareness with his pictures. He has no expectations regarding profit and income. He is still waiting for more venues to exhibit the pictures.
