Jillu is cynosure of all eyes for mirror-writing Ramayana
Thrissur: Jillu from Alappad in Thrissur has been involved in a curious endeavour. She is mirror writing Ramayana. The hand written version could be read only by holding the text near to a mirror. She has already written 300 pages and need to write 'Yudhakaandam' portion to complete the transcription of Ramayana.
Jillu, who is presently working as an Assistant Manager with a financial institution, developed interest in mirror writing from her teenage. When she was in her 8th standard, the picture tube of TV set at home got damaged and started to show visuals in a mirrored format. Jillu was curious about it and used to transcript the texts that appeared on TV in her book. Later on, she developed it as a skill and stunned her school friends by writing class notes in a mirrored fashion. Supposedly, she even started to use it as a secret language!
While Jillu was doing BBA, the principal of the college initially found her special writing method as bizarre and scolded her. However, after realizing her special aptitude in a not-so-easy-to-acquire skill, the principal became a keen supporter.
She could mirror-write in the same speed of her normal writing. Jillu is married to Abhijith and has a daughter Daksha.
