I was surrounded by dead bodies, says man injured in Avinashi accident
Pathanamthitta: Jemin George Jose, a native of Thadiyoor here, suffered severe injuries from KSRTC bus accident in Avinashi. The shocking incident turned a nightmare in his life. Jemin, an IT professional in Bengaluru was one of the passengers in the KSRTC Volvo bus.
Jemin who was sleeping was awakened when he heard a loud voice. When he regained consciousness he found himself leaning towards the divider on the road.
“My head was bleeding and the blood hindered my sight. When I managed to take a look around me, I was shocked seeing the scattered dead bodies and injured people. I felt that I will collapse soon. At that moment, an ambulance took me to Kovai medical college,” Jemin narrated his experience.
He suffered severe injuries on his forehead and nose and bruises all over the body. When his father Jose Varghese, mother Mini and brother Mebin arrived at the hospital, his treatment including plastic surgery have begun.
Palakkad district collector was the first official to reach the hospital. He also interacted with Jemin and enquired about the accident.
“Ministers VS Sunil Kumar and AK Saseendran visited me at the hospital. I am grateful to them for motivating me to stay strong,” said Jemin.
In the bus, Jemin was on the middle seat in the row behind driver’s seat.
After discharging from hospital, he arrived at his house in Thadiyoor on Sunday evening.
