French tourists write their 'first letters' on the occasion of Vijayadasami
Paravoor: A flock of tourists from France gathered at Vyasa Vidya Mandir to take their first alphabet or ‘kaiaksharam’ to take part in the cermony called ‘Vidyarambham’. The 'Vidyarambham' ritual on Vijayadasami, which marks the culmination of the nine-day Navratri festival, is considered an auspicious occasion for children being introduced to world of learning.
Dr. Krishnan Nair, professor of BED College at Vyasa Vidya Mandir and Dr. Smitha, Vedic Maths Teacher guided the foreign tourists to write their first letter. Vijayakumar, a member of All India Bharat Narayana Mahotsavam Samiti helped the children to recite ‘Saptaswarangal’.
School Principal Sreeja, President A. Rajan Babu, Secretary S. Suvarnakumar and Mathrubhumi members participated in the ceremony.
