Fathima fulfilled her mother's wish by writing the toughest exam of her life
Pothencode: As Fathima was writing her SSLC exam in Karoor Laxmi Vilasom High School, her eyes were filled with tears. When the teacher asked her what happened, she said that her mother’s last rites ceremony was going on at the moment.
Fathima’s mother Naseera Beevi (39) passed away on Wednesday morning.
Fathima had to reach the school before the last rite ceremony. That was her mother’s final wish.
Naseera Beevi asked her daughter not to panic if she died in between her exams and to perform well in all the exams. Fathima gave obeisance to her mother by fulfilling her final wishes.
Fathima went on to write her final exams by the courage the headmistress Maya and other teachers gave her. The exam started by 9 30 in the morning. Half an hour later the last rites of Naseera Beevi were performed at Kudamattam Jamaath.
It was only two half months back that Naseera was diagnosed with cancer. She immediately started her treatment in RCC.
Naseera’s husband Shameer, who was working abroad, reached Kerala on knowing about her condition. But she passed away on Wednesday at the medical college.
Naseera Beevi was an active member in all the Kudumbashree activities in the panchayat. Adter writing the toughest exam of her life, Fathima returned to her house. She has to appear for four more exams.
