Farm owner converts old auto rickshaw into cage for love birds
Pathanamthitta: In a bid to make a different type of shelter for love birds, a man here has converted an auto rickshaw into a bird cage.
Chikku, who owns Nandana Farm and Travels, happened to notice an old auto on the roadside.
Chikku thought of converting the auto rickshaw into a cage for the birds and purchased it. Now the auto has been designed into a colourful cage for love birds in Chikku's farm.
The shape of auto has been retained while making the cage. Only the roof and net walls were changed during the making process. The auto has been placed a little higher from ground to prevent reptiles and ants getting into the cage.
The cage is also decorated with paintings of flowers. The beautification works were completed by Jayan and Lal. The lights of the auto rickshaw can be operated with switches.
Apart from love birds, there are emu, turkey, goose, ornamental poultry birds, rabbit, guinea pigs, horse, African love birds and many rare birds and animals in Chikku's farm. Now Chikku is thinking of converting a car into a bird cage.
