Eagle turns nightmare for natives, finally gets trapped
Mavelikkara: Giving relief to the natives of Kannamangalam here, a huge eagle which has been attacking the public for three months got trapped finally. A group of youth in the village trapped the eagle with a net after more number of people suffered injuries from the eagle attack. The eagle will be handed over to the forest officials soon.
People in the village were afraid of the eagle whenever they leave their house. To protect themselves from the eagle attack, they used to carry helmet and umbrella. Over 20 people suffered injuries from the eagle attack.
On Monday evening, Maliyekkal Kumar was attacked by the eagle and suffered injuries on shoulders and face. His wife also suffered injuries on head and hands.
According to reports, the eagle has been roaming around the village for the last three months. Everyone were in panic as the eagle started to attack everyone. Children were also attacked while playing outside.
The natives lodged a complaint with the revenue officials and following this, deputy tehsildar Binu inspected the area. Though, forest officials were informed, they refused to catch the eagle. Hence, the natives themselves took effort to make a trap to catch the eagle.
