Canadian citizen sleeps on street in Fort Kochi
Fort Kochi: People were surprised to see a foreigner who slept on the street inside a mosquito net. Wilson Edward Cossan, a Canadian Citizen, has been in Kochi for the last two days. Wilson was forced to sleep on the street after losing his wallet which had his money, documents, credit card and debit card.
During daytime, he will take a ride on his bicycle to explore the city and take a sleep on the street at night. He started his trip from Delhi four months ago.
Even after losing the wallet, Wilson was not ready to cancel his trip. With this determination, he decided to sleep on the street and arranged a modern mosquito net.
The tourist found his wallet missing when he arrived at Bengaluru. But he was not disappointed. He continued his trip to Kerala via Ootty. During the journey, he met with a road accident on the Tamil Nadu border and suffered a leg injury. After taking rest for a short period, he took a cycle ride to Kerala.
People were curious to know about the foreigner who sleeps on the street. Wilson narrated his story to all who approached him enquiring the reason behind his stay on the street. After coming to know about his financial problem, natives started to give food and water to him.
The tourist revealed that even after being penniless, he is surviving in Kerala with the kindness of the natives.
