Bats continue to disturb; Kozhencherry natives under Nipah scare
Pathanamthitta: Natives of Kozhencherry are worried about Nipah outbreak as bats continue to flock an abandoned land here. It is reported that a large number of bats are found on the trees in the abandoned land near Thevalassery temple.
The natives are worried over the chances of Nipah virus outbreak after finding excreta of bats on the compound wall and net of wells.
The residents in the area think they will get infected with Nipah virus, if the droppings of the bats fall into wells.
They have decided to lodge a complaint with the district administration authority seeking immediate action to clear the bats from the area.
