Around India in a cycle...Ankit Arora reaches out to children
Alappuzha: Ankit Arora, a national record holder cyclist and freelance journalist, is continuing his cycle journey travelling along Alappuzha. He has already travelled across 16 states in the country. Achieving a record is not the sole intention behind his expedition. He also plans to interact with the children in the rural areas and to know the lives in village closely.
Ankit’s journey intends to meet children who are denied education for various reasons and to help them. Ankit had travelled more than 9200 km by now. His journey is with the cooperation of Round Table India, which interferes in issues related to children’s education. His journey will conclude in Meghalaya.
When he completes travelling 21,000 km, he will get a Guinness record as well. Round Table arranges the accommodation and other facilities for Ankit in each place during the journey. Ankit was received by Round Table office-bearers Ambu Vaidyar Kalpakavadi and Sarath Velayudhan. After 2 days, he will set out to Kollam after an interacting session with school children.
