Ananthakrishnan’s flute journey to World Record begins
Guruvayur: A flute recital in the premises of Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple, that too nonstop for 36 hours. It was dream come true for Ananthakrishnan.
His parents Suresh Kumar and Dr Ramadevi from Jagathi are in full support to their son’s musical journey.
In the presence of hundreds of people including family, friends and teachers, Ananthakrishnan has started his journey to the world record. Officials from the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records are also present to observe the recital.
The concert started at 6 on Thursday morning at the Melpathur auditorium with Ananthakrishnan’s mentors lighting the lamp. Then he started with the famous hymns restructured for him by his teachers Sivaramakrishnayyar and Palkulangara Saraswathi. With mridangam, khadam and ganjira there are almost 25 other artists to support him in this rehearsal.
Every hour, he take a five minutes break to take water and cashew nuts. His lunch and dinner is very light.
The recital is scheduled to end at 6:30 pm on Friday.
