38 bottles of toddy, eatables stolen from shop in TVM; 9 are highly harmful, says owner
Thiruvananthapuram: A theft has taken place in a toddy shop in Kattakkada leaving the owners in dismay. A total of 38 bottles of toddy, 15 plates of meat, 10 plates of tapioca, 2 bottles of pickles, a full tray of eggs and Rs 1500 from selling curries have also been taken away.
Among the 38 toddy bottles, nine were preserved after sending as samples last year. These bottles contain very strong toddy and it is also harmful to health if consumed, the employees of the shop said.
The toddy shop is owned by AITUC union workers and Satheesh is the owner licensee. The Kattakkada police have booked a case over the incident.
