‘Plavila Nirth’ in Neelamperoor Padayani woos all
Kavalam: Padayani celebrations has completed 11 days in Neelamperoor, a village in Alappuzha district. As part of the 11th-day celebrations, an effigy of Lord Hanuman was set ablaze at the venue called Padayanikalam.
An effigy of Hanuman who met Bheema at Kadali Vanam (forest) was made using jackfruit leaves. This effigy was called as ‘Plavilakolam’ .
The body of the effigy was made of jackfruit leaves and the face created by painting on palm leaf. This effigy was taken to the venue in a parade around 10 on Friday night.
Different ‘Plavilakolam’ will be paraded in the venue marking the culmination of Padayani third phase on Saturday. An effigy of Bheema will be made in jackfruit leaves and paraded.
Along with this, ‘ Plavailakolam’ of saint, elephant and Lord Hanuman will be paraded.
Neelamperoor Padayani is an annual event held at Neelamperoor Palli Bhagavathy Temple at Alappuzha.
