Thiruvananthapuram: Abin’s visit to the open forum of Loka Kerala Sabha to meet MA Yusuff Ali turned into a heart-wrenching sight for the onlookers. The mortal remains of Abin’s father Babu (46) is kept in a hospital at Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.
Abin arrived at the venue of the Loka Kerala Sabha to request Yusuff Ali to help him in bringing the mortal remains of his father, who died in an accident in Saudi, to Kerala.
Yusuff Ali immediately passed the information to the Saudi team of the Lulu Group and contacted the hospital management. Yusuff assured Abin that his father’s mortal remains will be brought to Kerala within three days.
Abin is a second-year student of Mar Ivanios College in Thiruvananthapuram. It was on June 9 that he had spoken with his father for the last time. The next day, one of his father’s friends informed the family about the accident.
Abin had submitted an application to the Norka Roots to bring the body of Babu. Soon the Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia contacted to enquire if there is someone to receive the body. But the family became helpless as they could not find anybody for this. Babu was an expatriate for the last 11 years.
