Keralite becomes first Indian woman to get Saudi driving license

Damam: Pathnamthitta native Saramma Thomas aka Somi Jiji is the first Indian woman to get a Saudi Arabian driving licence following Saudi Arabia’s historic decision to lift female driving ban.

Saramma is working as nurse in King Abdulaziz Naval Base (KANB) Military hospital at Eastern province. She has a Indian driving license. She took part in the driving test in Saudi and passed the test.

Saramma is wife of Pathanamthitta native Mathew P Thomas. The couple have a son named Eiden Thomas.
