Dubai: The visa validity period is not applicable for NRIs who want to return to UAE, it is informed. Earlier, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs had informed that those who do not have visa validity of a minimum of three months cannot return to foreign countries. Indian Consul General Vipul made it clear that this rule is not applicable for those returning to UAE.

The UAE has renewed all resident and visiting visas which expired after March 1. The Consul General brought this to the attention of the India government. Following this, the government stated that visa validity is not applicable for returning to UAE. The central government has directed the emigration wing and all flight companies regarding this.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the other day that all facilities for the return of about 2 lakh foreigners in the country have been arranged.

Those who return to UAE should register on the website smartservices.ica.gov.ae. If they get permission, they can book tickets in flights including Emirates Etihad. People who come with their families and those who can convince the urgency of their situation will be given priority.

After arriving in the country, the returnees have to undergo COVID tests at their own expense. Also they will have to spend 14 days in quarantine. Home-quarantine is also allowed. People are directed to download the Al Hosn app to know the details of people in quarantine.
