Jeddah: As part of the phase 5 of Vande Bharat mission aimed at evacuating stranded Indians abroad owing to Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions on air travel, more flight services will be conducted from Saudi Arabia to India, the Indian Embassy announced. Flight services will be conducted from Damam and Riyadh. No services are scheduled from Jeddah.
The Air India service from Damam to Kochi is on August 16. Following this, there are various flight services from Damam to Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Kochi and Kannur between August 17 and 21.
Flight services from Riyadh airport are scheduled to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Vishakhapatnam and Bengaluru from August 21 to 24.
Also, an IndiGo flight service is scheduled from Damam to Chennai on August 24.
The Vande Bharat mission by Indian government had begun on May 7 and entered phase 5 on August 1.
