UAE extends entry ban on passengers from India till July 6

Dubai: UAE has extended the entry ban on passengers from India. The people from India cannot enter UAE directly till July 6. The new decision has become a setback for the thousands of NRIs who were planning to return to UAE.

UAE imposed the direct entry ban on Indian passengers from April 24. The General Civil Aviation Authority also informed that the ban will be withdrawn as number of Covid cases decline in India. Later, the authority decided to extend the ban till July 6.

Thousands of Keralites working in UAE were planning to return to UAE after the ban is lifted. With the new order, Air India Express informed that those who booked tickets to July first week should reschedule the journey after contacting the travel agencies.

Apart from UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia also have imposed direct entry ban on Indian passengers. However, Bahrain and Qatar allow entry for resident visa holders.
