Riyadh: Summer vacation for the International Indian Schools in Saudi Arabia will commence in July. New academic year will begin in September, informed the authorities.
Summer vacation for the International Indian Schools in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam will commence on July 7 and end on August 31. Schools will reopen on September 1. All Indian schools recognized by CBSE in the country will have summer vacation in July and August.
Meanwhile, it is expected that more students will return to India after the annual examination in March. Since expatriate dependent levy has come into force, the middle class families are struggling to manage expenses.
About 20-30 percent dropout of students has been observed in the Indian schools in Saudi for the past two years. By the end of this academic year, about 30 percent Indian students are expected to return to their native countries.
Many schools have completed census of students who wants to get their transfer certificates. Many teachers including Malayalis also lost their jobs.
