Stop foreign recruitment, demands Kuwait parliamentarian
Kuwait City: Parliamentarian of Kuwait Saleh Ashour has demanded the government to stop recruitment of foreigners as the government failed to control the growing unskilled workers in the country.
The government is filling the country with unwanted foreign labourers. Ineligible, inexperienced and unskilled labourers should be sent back. The growing foreign labourers in the country is a headache for the public service sector of the country.
According to advertisements that appeared in local newspapers, 60,000 unskilled labourers are recruited every year from Egypt alone. This trend is dangerous, said the MP.
There was a complaint that labour certificates were issued to foreign labourers illegally under the public authority of manpower department. Other parliamentarians demanded the responsible minister to take action on the complaint. If the minister fails to resolve the issue soon, MPs will question the minister in the parliament.
