Qatar begins entry permit registration for return of residents

Those returning to Qatar should carry passport, entry permit, Covid test certificate, Qatar ID card, Quarantine undertaking from selected hotels and hotel reservation copy

Doha: Qatar residents who were stranded abroad following Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown can now apply for returning to the country. The registration for the same began on Saturday. Persons holding a Qatar ID and who obtain approval after registration and their family members can return to the country.

The web portal has two sections where companies and individuals can apply. The owner/in-charge of the institution can apply for the return of the employees holding resident visas. Individuals can also apply for their family members in sponsorship.

A new account has to be created in the portal to apply for entry permit. If a person already has an account, one can login and provide passport and ID details. If entry permit is approved, it has to be printed. While travelling, this document should be submitted at the airport. The entry permit has a validity of one month. If validity expires, one has to re-apply.

Those returning to Qatar should carry passport, entry permit, Covid test certificate, Qatar ID card, Quarantine undertaking from selected hotels and hotel reservation copy.
