Jinshy Gopi
Sharjah: It was in 2016 that Karivedakam native Jinshy Gopi migrated to UAE for finding a job. She joined GEMS Modern Academy, Sharjah as a bus supervisor.
Jinshy who is a motorhead since childhood developed an interest to learn bus driving while travelling on the bus as part of her job. When she shared the matter with her colleagues, they supported her.
Jinshy joined for driving class and chartered it at night for continuing the classes without affecting her job, She took a UAE driving licence and became a school bus driver in the same school where she was employed.
Interestingly, it was on Women’s day that Jinshy took up the new role.
According to Jinshy, travel with children is interesting. “They call me driver aunty. All these years they have been seeing me as a supervisor and they were curious to see me in driver’s uniform,” she said.
Jinshy has studied till class 10 and her non-stop passion to reach heights is seen as an ambitious pursuit by school authorities.
