Mavelikara native Malayali expatriate dies in car accident in Sharjah's Dhaid

Sharjah: John P Nainan (51), a native of Kallumala in Mavelikara, died in a car accident in Dhaid, Sharjah. The incident occurred around 6 pm on Sunday, as John was driving back to his residence after work. His car collided with the rear of a trailer, resulting in severe head injuries that proved fatal.

John, who had been living in the UAE as an expatriate for 15 years, worked as an electrician in Ajman. His wife, Biji, is a staff nurse at a government clinic in Dhaid. The couple has two children - Jasna, who is pursuing nursing studies at Vellore Medical College, and Jerin, a student at Dhaid school.

John was the son of the late PV Nainan and Raji, and had two brothers - Varghese P Nainan in Sharjah, and Thomas P Nainan in Kuwait. He was also an active member of St. Gregorios Orthodox Parish in Sharjah.

The untimely demise of John P Nainan has left the Malayali expatriate community in Sharjah in shock and mourning.
