M A Yusuff Ali seen with Vice President Venkaiah Naidu who visited the UAE to offer condolences on behalf of the Government of India on the demise of Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, former President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi: Chairman of Lulu group M A Yusuff Ali conveyed his best wishes to UAE’s third president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“Hearty congratulations to my beloved HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on being elected as the new President of UAE, a great country where I am staying with my family for the past 48 years,” he wrote.
The ascension of Sheikh Mohammed, 61, came after the death of his half-brother and the UAE's president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the age of 73. The transition of power marks only the third time this US-allied nation of seven sheikhdoms has selected a president since becoming an independent nation in 1971.
M A Yusuff Ali took to Twitter and wrote - “His Highness is a great humanitarian, statesman and visionary leader with whom I have a long relationship. I sincerely pray Almighty God shower His choicest blessings upon His Highness to lead this great country of UAE to greater heights and prosperity.”
