Kuwait to issue work permit for residents stranded in foreign countries due to Covid pandemic

Kuwait City: The government has begun issuing work permit to Kuwait residents stranded in foreign countries due to Covid pandemic.

The Public Authority for Manpower informed that the work permits are being issued to allow the residents to return to the country.

The employers can send in the list of foreign workers to the home ministry, the health committee formed by cabinet had decided. The Public Authority for Manpower is acting based on the instruction.

After obtaining safety permit from the home ministry, the employers can apply for overseas work permit for their foreign employees with the Public Authority for Manpower.

Once work permit is obtained, this can be sent to the foreign employees. Further process can be completed in the respective countries and returned to Kuwait.
