Kuwait mulls granting Article 19 residency to foreigners over 60 years
Kuwait City: The Ministry of Interior is considering the provision to grant residency to expatriates over 60 years of age through Article 19 visas.
If approved, the decision will benefit expats over 60 years of age who has investment in the country or is partner in a commercial business with the natives.
However, only those expats who have a share of not less than 100,000 Kuwaiti dinars, will be considered and the approval will be based on conditions stipulated by the Ministry of Commerce.
Expats, who are above 60, hold only a high school degree and face deportation because of non-transfer to family visa, will be allowed to renew their residency permits through this.
