Kuwait MPs demand strict restriction on recruiting foreigners
Kuwait City: Senior MP Khaleel Al-Saleh demanded in the Kuwait parliament a ban on recruiting foreigners in order to resolve unemployment crisis faced by the natives of the country. In a joint statement of the MPs, it has been stated that the government and the civil service commission have not taken a strong stand in this issue.
The MPs also demanded that the nationalisation procedures of the government should be fulfilled more efficiently and rapidly. Also, they demanded that the National Assembly should reorganise the present human resource committee and take strong action to resolve the issue.
According to the statistics of the Civil Service Commission, the nationalisation process in which foreign employees are replaced by natives is progressing at a snail’s pace, the MPs stated. They are of the opinion that nationalisation should be implemented completely in private sector also.
