Kuwait makes biometric attendance mandatory in schools
Kuwait City: In a new development in the education sector, Kuwait is implementing fingerprint system to register the attendance of students and teachers across the country.
The Ministry of Education has begun the process to install biometric machines to record fingerprints in schools without any gender discrimination.
Over 3000 machines will be installed in around 900 public schools. One million Kuwait dollar was sanctioned for this purpose by the ministry of education.
Works are being done so fast to begin the system during the beginning of the new academic year. This step was taken to strengthen the safety measures in schools based on the number of students and teachers in all academic institutions.
