Kuwait listed among hottest cities in world; 53.9 degree Celsius in 2016
Kuwait City: The World Meteorological Organization has announced the list of hottest places on earth. In the list, Kuwait secured third place among the countries which have the greatest temperature. 53.9 Celsius was recorded at Mitribah on July 21, 2016. And, 53.7 Celsius was recorded at Turbat, Pakistan on May 28, 2017.
In the table of temperature extremes, Kuwait comes first in Asia and third in the world. Eastern desert in California is first in the table with 56.7 Celsius in 1913.
The planet’s second highest temperature, 55 degree Celsius was recorded at Kebili, Tunisia in 1931. Kuwait is listed just below this. In June, Mitribah region in Kuwait recorded 52 degree Celsius.
