Kuwait deports 5000 Indians among 18000 expats
Kuwait City: The documents released by Home Ministry states that 5000 Indians were deported this year until September 30. 18,000 people were deported in total from Kuwait for different reasons during this time period. Out of this, 6000 are women.
Communicable diseases, Violation of Immigrant laws, traffic violations, criminal cases and other such cases are the prime reasons why most of these immigrants have been deported. Indians lead the number of immigrants who have been deported, followed by Bangladeshis (2,500) and Egyptians (2,200). 2,100 Nepalis, 1,700 Ethiopians, 1,400 Syrians and 1,200 Filippinos have also been deported.
As of now, 50 men and 8 women are staying in the deportation centre. The Home Ministry has stated that there is a system in place to send these men and women to their home countries within 3 days.
