Kuwait airport reopened; 67 flight services on first day
Kuwait City: The Kuwait International Airport has started functioning. On the first day, 67 flight services were operated. 37 flights set out from Kuwait to various countries including India. The airport was closed from December 21 to January 1 after the mutant coronavirus was detected in different countries.
The decision to open the airports from January 2 was taken in an emergency cabinet meeting. As part of this, flights to India also were announced. Air India decided to resume the flight services to India after the airports were reopened.
The flight services till January 31 were announced. Air India officials informed that the services and bookings related to Vande Bharat Mission have started. Air India services are available to Kozhikode, Kochi and Kannur airports in Kerala.
Kuwait-Kochi flights are scheduled on January 3, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 29 and 31. Kuwait-Kozhikode flights are scheduled on January 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26 and 31. The services to Kannur are available on January 8, 15, 22 and 29. The flights to Mangaluru are scheduled on January 4, 11, 18 and 25.
Apart from this, flight services will be available to other Indian cities including Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Goa, Lucknow and Tiruchirappalli.
