Kozhikode native, who went missing in Dubai, found dead

Dubai: A man, who had gone missing in October 2022, was found dead in Dubai. The deceased has been identified as Amal Satheesh (30), a native of Koyilandy, Kozhikode.

The body was found hanging in an abandoned area near Rashidiya in Dubai. Amal, who had been working in a private electrical firm in Warzan, went missing on October 20, 2022.

As per reports, Amal went outside from his room at 4.30 pm and failed to come back. The decomposed body was found amid an investigation carried out by the Dubai police.

A probe was launched based on the CCTV footage from the area but to no avail. Amal’s phone was last active at Rashidiya.

According to Amal’s friends, he was not interested in his job and wished to go back home. He had asked the company officials for his passport, but they were not ready to give it unless he assured them that he would return soon.

Following which, Amal remained mentally down for days. After he went missing, his friends had tried to reach him by phone.

At the time, Amal said that he was in a bus and was travelling through forest areas. Later, his phone was switched off.

The body will be brought to Kerala after completing all procedures. Amal is survived by his mother Prameela and sister Amrita Satheesh.
