Kottayam: A Keralite nurse has been diagnosed with coronavirus in Saudi Arabia. The woman hailing from Ettumanoor in Kottayam is working in Al Hayat National Hospital in Saudi Arabia from where she was affected with the disease.
A Filipino nurse in the hospital was first diagnosed with coronavirus, said other Malayali nurses in the hospital. It was transmitted when the Keralite nurse was taking care of her. Many of the hospital staff are not coming to the hospital fearing virus transmission.
The nurses also informed that the authorities are trying to conceal the issue by not reporting the virus attack. They added that they have brought the incident to the attention of the Indian Embassy.
