Kerala Govt to provide Rs 5000 to expats who are unable to return


The application can be filed online in NORKA website www. Norkaroots.org until April 30.

Thiruvananthapuram: The government will provide a sum of Rs 5000 to those expats who returned from foreign countries after January 1, 2020 but were unable to return due to the lockdown and for those whose Visa period expired during this period.

The money will be sent to the bank account of the applicant. Expats without savings bank account should provide their NRO/ Joint account number of a local bank. And those who do not posses any of these numbers can submit the bank account number of their spouses along with documents establishing their relation.

However, money will not be sent to the NRI accounts. The application can be filed online in NORKA website www. Norkaroots.org until April 30.
